It’s (almost) the season!

WeCarebagsAs Christians everywhere prepare for Advent (the church season of waiting and preparation that precedes Christmas), Trinity is reaching out to communities through various Christmas projects!

Our Advent mitten tree goes up next Sunday.  All types of mittens are needed to keep hands warm in our community this winter.  We are creating a Christmas Hamper for the Wilmot Family Resource Centre for one large family.  We Care Bags have arrived for us to fill!  This year, Trinity is preparing Living and Learning kits, which contain school and hygiene supplies.  These bags are available in the back of the church. Please take a bag, and a list of contents to collect, and have fun gathering supplies.  Please attach your offering envelope with $5 to the outside of the We Care Bag.

On Monday, December 14th, at 9:00 am Christmas Cheer cookie tins will be prepared for distribution within our community.  This year we hope to do 40 – 50 tins so we will need a lot of cookies.  If you are able to help with the preparation or delivery of the tins please be in touch with our church office!

In addition to these projects, donations can be made to CLWR for Syrian refugees coming to Canada. Donations will receive matching government grants until December 31st. As well, donations are also being received for Camp Edgewood, and will also receive a matching grant if given before Christmas.

Organ Recital

On Sunday, November 8th at 3:00 pm, Trinity will host a recital, featuring organist Alison Riseley-Clark on our newly installed pipe organ.  A freewill offering supports the Gywin Murray church music scholarship.  All are welcome!
