Trinity Youth Travel to PEI

PEI GO!Trinty youth traveled to PEI to the Canadian Lutheran Anglican Youth Gathering, and had a great time. After a long bus ride there a wonderful four day-event, and the long bus ride back, our youth and leaders are no doubt tired, but energized for ministry!

Hear from our youth at church on September 18th, but in the meantime, check out a few of the great pictures from Youth Coordinator Nathan Mantey on our image gallery page.

Call Committee Coming Soon

Trinity has been very blessed to have the Rev. Dr. Stephen Larson as our interim pastor for the past two years. Much good work has been accomplished in this interim ministry period so far!

Currently, the Congregational Council is working on a Congregational Mission Profile, a key step in the transition process. Later, probably in September, the Congregational Council will thank the Task Team on Interim Ministry for their excellent work during this stage of interim ministry. Then, they will appoint a Call Committee to formally begin the process of searching for a permanent longer term pastor. By All Saints’ Day, it is likely that the Call Committee will be conducting candidate interviews.

To everything there is a season, as the author of Ecclesiastes wrote. In this turning of the seasons, hold Trinity in your prayers as we continue to discern the future to which God is calling us.

Farewell, Nathan

NathandunkingIn July, we received word from our Youth Coordinator, Nathan Mantey, that the time has come for him to say goodbye. On staff since 2014, Nathan has forged valuable relationships with Trinity’s youth.

Nathan is leaving Trinity due to some exciting changes in his career:

“I recently received news that I was successful in an interview process for a full-time outdoor education position… as an employee of the Waterloo Region District School Board.”

While we’re sad to see Nathan go, we wish him good luck in this new, and highly sought after venture. Nathan will be with us through the end of summer, seeing us through our youth’s trip to CLAY in PEI, and Confirmation Camp.
