Farewell, Nathan

NathandunkingIn July, we received word from our Youth Coordinator, Nathan Mantey, that the time has come for him to say goodbye. On staff since 2014, Nathan has forged valuable relationships with Trinity’s youth.

Nathan is leaving Trinity due to some exciting changes in his career:

“I recently received news that I was successful in an interview process for a full-time outdoor education position… as an employee of the Waterloo Region District School Board.”

While we’re sad to see Nathan go, we wish him good luck in this new, and highly sought after venture. Nathan will be with us through the end of summer, seeing us through our youth’s trip to CLAY in PEI, and Confirmation Camp.

Summer Screenings: Faith in Film

This summer, Trinity is offering two film series in our long standing “Faith in Film” programming! Trinity’s own Sherry Coman does a remarkable job of curating these films and leading group discussions following the screenings. Join us!

In June, we meet to explore “Family Ties“; four Wednesdays at 6:00 pm, starting June 8th.

In August we meet to explore “Faith and TV“; three Tuesdays at 6:00 pm, starting August 16th.

Full details, including a listing of the films, are available on the Faith in Film page.

Who’s afraid of heights?

Matt Ceiling FanA warm Sunday morning on Victoria Day weekend was made even warmer by a jammed up ceiling fan! Our escaped Ascension Day balloon relieved itself of its hiding spot in the Trinity arches and lodged itself, and its trailing ribbon, in a fan prior to worship, rendering it incapacitated.

Thanks to our capable crew, including Matt and our property guys, Gerry and Bob, the fan was liberated of its ascended deity. Feel the breeze at a worship service this summer at Trinity!
