Over the years, the people of Trinity have generously responded to those in our community who require food support with donations to Wilmot Family Resources Centre (WFRC). Our faith not only calls on us to do this, but it also asks us to do so with humility and without judgment. Thank you to all those folks who regularly donate to the food bank at WFRC — both food and monetary donations.
I was reminded recently that there are people in our community who are unsheltered and need ongoing food assistance. It was suggested to me that a great way to recognize Trinity’s 190th anniversary would be to provide 190 meals in our community. Providing these meals will require many pairs of hands. There is, however, a way to make this happen! A meal can be as simple as donating a can of chili and a can of peaches, or a can of ravioli and a can of peas or corn; a can of stew and a pack of juice boxes; cereal and fruit cocktail.
If you are able, please consider donating two or three items that make up a meal. All donations are graciously accepted! Simply leave food donations in one of the baskets at Trinity’s entrances and we’ll provide updates on our progress toward our target of 190 meals.
The food bank at Wilmot Family Resource Centre and Trinity greatly appreciate your continuing support!
